Hairpin-legs for your very own table project. 2/24/2019

Date(s) - 02/24/2019
11:00 am - 4:00 pm

In this class we will teach you how to make “Hairpin” table legs using 3/8 and 1/2″ steel round stock and 3/16ths and 1/4″ flat stock.

We will teach you how to safely handle and use oxy-acetylene for hot bending.

We will show you how to use a drill press and milling machine to drill holes in steel quickly and efficiently.

We will teach you how to set-up and use MIG welding machines using a gas shield and solid wire (GMAW)

The use of hand held and bench mounted grinding and sanding equipment will be demonstrated.

The focus of this class will be on producing table legs for you to use! This will not focus on MIG welding in a technical way, the Mig welding intensive is a better class for that.

Class price includes materials for up to eight legs made from either cold rolled steel or rebar of whatever length you like in either 3/8 or 1/2″ diameter.  Wood not included.

Each ticket is valid for an attendee +1. You can bring your niece, boyfriend, wife, offspring, or service capabera, (not included).

This is a really fun way to work with salvaged materials, with an old barn door or heavy wood beam you can make a custom table while learning new skills. Mad, Mad Skillz.
