Private welding instruction organized by Nick Hodapp

Date(s) - 03/18/2019
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In this session we will work with MIG welding equipment and compare it to SMAW (stick) and GTAW (Tig)

You will work with MIG equipment running GMAW and FCAW. You will work on both thick and thin material using machines ranging from 90 amp output to 350 amp output.

We will discuss electrical and welding safety in a way that makes you much more comfortable with the equipment.

This is a small private class so we will have ample time to answer your questions about any aspect of welding and metalwork.

We will demonstrate how to “tune” and troubleshoot your machine

We will answer questions about specific machine brands and models.

We will do some simple load bearing tests to help assess weld strength.

We will explain and use auto darkening helmets.

Time allowing we will discuss and demonstrate any equipment or process of interest. These may include tig welding of aluminum, plasma cutting, cnc plasma cutting, machining, oxy-fuel cutting, fabrication and layout, where to purchase equipment and tools and similar topics of interest.

We look forward to working with your group. We supply all materials and consumables required for the classes.
