We live in interesting times.
Stress is capable of producing real and severe health effects over a period of time, and while we at Hazardfactory LLC would only claim medical expertise if it seemed like fun at the time, we have learned to recognise some of the symptoms of a dangerous and pervasive epidemic known as Sophistry Normativc Anarchic Response Complex, or SNARC.
Have you or someone you know ever experienced any of the following symptoms after ingesting media?
Despair, alternating with outrage, followed by self medication?
A tendency to throw, or want to throw, things like shoes, or pies at things like politicians or elected officials?
Do you read or watch things that you know are bad for you because you feel a need to keep up with current affairs?
Have you ever yelled out loud after reading a tweet?
Have you ever wanted to respond?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you have developed a sensitivity to Sophistry def: The use of fallacious arguments, especially with the intention of deceiving.
Your body has responded to a deficit of real information and meaningful political response by entering a state of hypervigilance, causing elevated cortisol levels and hypertension. These symptoms will slowly wear you down and inhibit your ability to act in progressive humanitarian ways.
We at Hazardfactory llc recognize the importance of forthright communication and an open dialogue with our public servants as a reasonable and useful way to reduce the worst impacts of Snarc.
Accordingly, we are building 36 or more flaming letters five feet in height and inviting you to engage in Snarc therapy by helping us to fabricate these letters and form them into words and sentences that will help us all work with our Snarc in socially productive and entertaining ways.
We expect that this project will allow us to produce graphic “Tweets” or “Pyrotweets” to respond to our elected officials in very simple, impactful, hot, and immediate ways.
Below you will see images of several letters that are already built. This event can be thought of as a collaborative protest piece or as a class.
We will work as a team to cut, weld, drill, and grind these pieces and you will learn a bit about the safe use of propane for fire art.
Your ticket price will help cover the costs of overhead and material. We hope that you are as excited to sign up as we are to provide peer driven support for Snarc Sufferers of Seattle.
Bookings are closed for this event.
