6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
This class will give you the opportunity to learn and hone new skills that will allow you to sculpt in steel.
This is a class taught by women for women. We hope this format will help make welding more accessible to our clients.
Class is every Thursday in March from 6:30 p.m. t0 8:30 p.m
You will have access to MIG, and Stick (also called arc or SMAW) welding equipment, a 60 amp plasma cutter, some grinding equipment and a variety of simple bending, forming, and shearing equipment. We have some scrap for free and will sell steel material for $1.00 per pound.
You can bring material to work with. We will provide examples of projects that you might wish to make. For an additional price you can order pre cut sculptural components in “kits”. These will be available for you the following week.
We have very limited storage space available. Projects must be of a size that allows them to be lifted onto a shelf or stored at home. Participant should anticipate making projects that are not larger than suitcase. No long term storage of any kind is available.
This is the first class of this kind being offered, it is being offered at an introductory rate, we hope to develop this class to meet the needs and interests of our clients.
Please note, your initial payment is a reservation fee. This fee is 50% of the class fee. We do not offer a refund or reschedule of the reservation under any circumstances. If you cannot attend class you may gift your reservation to any female adult. The remainder of the class fee is paid at the end of each class along with any charges for material or a kit you wish to order.
We hope to provide you with a supportive, fun, somewhat cold and dirty, but literally empowering place to work free from distractions.
On behalf of the Hazardfactory team, Mckenzie, and Rusty, Thank you.
