This is an advanced class, it is a great follow up to the MIG welding intensive.
The Advanced MIG welding class will expand on some of the material covered in the basic class, including how to troubleshoot and adjust a MIG welding machine, and evaluate weld quality.
We will also use MIG welding systems to weld aluminum using a millermatic 215 with a spoolgun and we will use a Miller 251 or similar to weld stainless steel.
We will spend the bulk of the class welding and dealing with questions of technique and equipment.
We will work with welding thick to thin materials, welding out of position, automotive body materials (20 gauge mild steel), and the specifics of working with flux core wire on heavy materials. We will show you how to operate both budget and commercial welding equipment on a variety of materials.
Our classes are small and focus closely on the questions our clients bring to class. We encourage clients to take this class repeatedly to develop an advanced and professional understanding of MIG welding process.
