About the Event

We offer a sliding scale ticket to the MIG WELDING INTENSIVE for people under the age of 21 that would like to explore welding as a possible career choice. Welding is a stable profession that is typically well paid. We hope to help make it more accessible to people with limited financial resources. This is an experiment. Please use the contact form to inquire. Not all dates will be available.

Session is four hours. Please dress warmly and wear work boots, no sneakers please! We provide jackets, helmets, gloves and materials. You may wish to bring water and snacks.

We can instruct you in any aspect of conventional welding so that you can learn at your own pace. Ticket is per individual.

If you want to bring your own welding gear to learn on, thats fine, just let us know, we might already have your machine here.

If you wish to book a private session with more than one attendee, please purchase the ticket that reflects the number of people in your group and we will reserve that time and date for your group.

Private instruction is four hours, if you prefer to work with either a male or female instructor let us know. We will try to accomodate.

We schedule from 10am till 2 pm weekdays,  other times may be available, typically 4pm-8pm during the week.  We do not generally schedule private instruction on weekends.

You can work on your own project in this session, it must fit on a small bench in the teaching area. Only tools from the teaching area may be used.  We do not store projects.

If you require special materials please bring them. Pacific Industrial is located near us on S Director street, they supply metals, and will cut to size.   1231 S director Street 98108   (206) 682-2100   Online metals is also a good bet.

Please avoid rescheduling. We are a small business. Reschedules kill us.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in class!

Many Thanks to John Smith, who inspired this instructional effort with his untiring support for community.
