We will weld up a "low poly" sculpture in a mix of steel materials. This is a larger sculptural work. The goal is to make a large artwork, with lots of long straight welds for people to practice on. This is a GROUP project with ONE result. Class taught on Sundays.

About the Event
Please RSVP if you are interested!
Class will be taught on Sundays.
We expect to offer tickets at $120 for a four hour class. Enrollment will be open to a maximum of eight people.
If we see sufficient interest, we will post tickets. If we do not enroll eight people, we will refund all tickets in full within 48 hours.
This class is an opportunity to create a larger sculpture, roughly eight foot tall when finished, and learn from the process of cutting, fitting, and welding long pieces of material.
We will work through problems encountered in sculptural metalwork, namely: cutting parts, tracking parts, fitting, grinding, polishing and correcting errors.
The sculpture will be fabricated from 16 guage hot rolled steel cut to size on our cnc plasma table.
This project is intended to generate a great deal of cutting, welding and fitting work while working collaboratively with other people.
The class is intended to be fun and engaging. We will weld both indoors and outside. The project is likely to take several sessions to complete.
You will be joining components into sections which will ultimately be joined into a single large sculpture.
Simply put, this is a way of practicing welding, while helping to create a large sculptural work.
We expect to continue to produce "low poly" art of this kind as a way for clients to perfect their welding skills in an entertaining way.
