Description:

A metal working class for women, designed and taught by a woman. In this women’s welding series students will complete a different flower sculpture in every class.  Beginners are welcome and encouraged! Class will be held once a week on Sunday evenings from 5pm-8pm. All 3 classes will include a flower making kit of pre-cut pieces and hands-on instruction for basic tack welding utilizing a MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welder, cold bending steel, and general tool use. 

In addition to the basic curriculum, each class will feature an introduction to a new aspect of metal working (e.g. forge work, oxyacetylene, etc.). The goal of this class series is to provide a comfortable environment where students have the ability to practice the metal working skills they are being taught, while being introduced to new techniques along the way. This enables students to see their progress in real time and hopefully inspire creativity with the multitude of possibilities that exist in the art of working with steel.
