About the Event
In this intensive 4 hour class, we will learn the basics of welding using mig and tig on mild steel.
We will discuss electrical and UV safety as well as the operation of Auto darkening helmets.
Conventional types of welding equipment will be identified and we will discuss their relative merits.
Class will be roughly 60% hands on.
We will begin welding within about 30 minutes of the start of class and spend the bulk of the class welding 16 guage hot rolled mild steel using gas shielded Mig, also known as GMAW.
