About the Event
This class builds on the Mig Welding Intensive class, which is the best class to begin with. In this class we will demonstrate and teach the basics of Tig, Mig, and Stick welding. You will try each process. We will teach this class by showing you the ways in which each process are similar and how the strengths and weaknesses of each process compare. This is the best possible way to figure out which process is the best fit your your intended use. This is a general purpose introductory class that builds on the MIG welding intensive and prepares you for intermediate and advanced techniques. You can try your hand at welding aluminum in this class, bear in mind it may be quite a while before you get even barely sorta-kinda-ok results with aluminum.
We will have plenty of time for general questions and to demonstrate more advanced techniques. We will also help you figure out what kind of equipment will work for you and answer questions about new versus used, brands, and probably hold forth on the ever popular subject of Harbor freight equipment, (friends don't let friends buy harbor freight welding equipment, red convertibles, or adopt husky puppies for apartment living)
