About the Event

Metalssori school modules are intended to supplement the education of younger students who will not have access to their standard school curriculum for the remainder of the Calendar year.

Each module is twenty hours of class time, Monday through Friday for four hours, plus a brief at-home assignment.

We will enroll not more than ten students per class. Class is open to clients aged fourteen and up.

Clients will be asked to help us comply with current cdc regulations which may include wearing a face mask and appropriate social distancing.

This class will teach students how to make sculptural artistic work in steel. We will teach conventional methods for developing and critiqing a concept. Developing sketches and Maquettes, the techniques of sculpting in metals, and presentation.

Students will be asked to develop and thoughtfully discuss art with their peers in a supportive and highly capable metalworking studio with a career artist. Students will learn MIG welding, plasma cutting, hot-work, sketching techniques, and creativity excercises. We are offering two other classes that are similar, the more casual, "Garden art" class, and the "Recycled art" Class which is more dependent one the use of everyday items turned into art.

Parents will be asked to sign waivers on the behalf of students younger than 18 years old.

We will supply you with a detailed class curriculum upon request.
