Private Welding Instruction (1)

We offer private instruction to clients that benefit from individual instruction. We can schedule very flexibly with clients.

Private instruction allows us to ensure that instruction is focused on your specific questions and goals. For example, in four hours we could introduce you to MIG, TIG, and Stick welding so that you understand the use of each, or we could set up a session teaching all the conventional means of cutting and shaping in a metalworking environment, Plasma, oxy-fuel, abrasives, saws, shears and machine tools. We can work with you to meet your goals, including project work as expediently as possible.

We can also supervise your work on a project in private instruction.

We can teach any of the subjects that we offer in a private instruction session. These include MIG (GMAW and FCAW), TIG (GTAW) Stick (arc or SMAW) Oxy-fuel cutting and welding, Brazing, Metal casting, Fabrication, Grinding, Aluminum MIG welding, Aluminum TIG welding, the basics of machining on a mill and lathe, plasma cutting and cnc plasma cutting and other welding and metalworking subjects.

Private instruction include scrap materials and all equipment and consumables required.

We charge $70 per hour for Private instruction with a 4 hour minimum

We can accommodate additional clients in a private session at an additional $40 per person/per hour

We can use this session to help you with a specific project.

Example: A private session focusing on industrial MIG welding and adjusting machines for spray arc transfer would be $280.

Example: A private session focusing on MIG and ARC welding for 2 people for 4 hours would be $440.

Example: A Private session for instruction on Aluminum MIG and TIG welding would be $280

Example: A Private session for instruction on Tig welding of steel and Aluminum for 4 people would be $760

Example: A Private session teaching cnc plasma cutting and oxy-fuel instruction for three people would be $600.00

Example: Four hours of help both instructing and working on some piece of craziness or furniture or maybe an art car or post- apocalyptic potato-gun or nuclear reactor or something for one person would be. $280.

The general idea is that private instruction allows us to teach you exactly what you want to learn and schedule with you conveniently.

WHAT TO BRING:

We provide all gear needed for welding, includes gloves and a welding helmet.

Dress as if you were outside. Wear long sleeves and pants that you don’t mind getting dirty. White is never in fashion here.

Clothing should be composed of natural fibers (cotton, wool, etc). Synthetic materials (nylon) have the potential to melt in dangerous ways.

You must wear shop appropriate shoes that have solid cotton or leather uppers. Work boots are preferred, but sneakers without nylon/synthetic tops are fine.

Bring a full water bottle, snacks (if you like), and a lunch for longer classes.
