About the Event
This class is open to beginners, however, we ALWAYS advise beginning with our Welding for Noobs Class. It provides a very useful introduction to fundamentals that apply to all types of conventional welding.Â
In this class you will learn how to start an arc, manipulate the rod correctly, evaluate the differences of electrode size and type and application, adjust the machine, and weld in several positions. In short, you will learn how to Stick weld.Â
Many TIG machines will also Stick (arc, smaw) weld. It is very useful to know how to stick weld in conjunction with tig as tig is best for thin materials and aluminum, and Stick can do basically everything else.Â
Stick is extremely versatile and excellent for working with heavy materials. Sculptors that work with found objects love Stick welding.Â
We will show you how to Stick weld with a variety of machines, including Everlast tig/stick…
