In this excercise, participants are asked to learn an entirely new skill, and implement it under unreasonable time constraints while measuring their results against teams operating under identical constraints. This requires teams to identify and allocate newly developed skills on the fly, in a dynamic non-heirarchical context.

We ask that all attendees wear hoodies and boots or cotton shoes, please no sneakers! We will briefly introduce welding and discuss safety. Then we will form up into teams and design and build "Bridges" that will be tested under a dynamic load until they fail. The weight of the bridge will be divided by the load it sustained to yield a strentgh ratio which may be compared against the results achieved by other competitors. 

Please bring snacks and wear jeans and long sleeved work shirts. This excercise is conducted in an industrial environment. 

We provide all the equipment and gear that is required.
