About the Event

This class is open to a max of 4 people. We provide welding helmets gloves and consumables.

Class meets the first three Saturdays of the month. The first, eighth, and fifteenth at noon.

You must attend these dates, no make up dates or reschedules are available.    If your schedule is volatile please book private lessons.

TIG welding is the most difficult, and prestigious of all the conventional welding processes. We will explain the materials and process, how to recognize and troubleshoot your errors. We will TIG weld Mild steel, Aluminum, and a little stainless. This class is designed to help you develop these skills as efficiently as possible.

TIG welding takes time to master.

Tig welding of steel is difficult and TIG welding of Aluminum requires even more precise coordination, focus, and a firm grasp of the technical issues involved in the process. By the end of the class you will understand the machines and the process, but should be prepared to dedicate 60-10,000 or more hours to develop competency. One learns TIG welding in the same way that one learns any open-ended complex process that involves fine motor skills and technical comprehension, like surgery, painting. or playing guitar,  practice, study, practice, study, practice.

We do not offer reschedules for this class. If your schedule makes attending sequential weekend dates difficult, please book private instruction.
